Virginia Ireland :: Your professional photographer

I am a wife, a mother and  an artist. I am an exercise fanatic. I love lollies. I don't  like chocolate and my favourite colour is pink. Finally I’m a country girl deep down but I love what city life has to offer. 

Seriously! Being a mother of four beautiful girls has taught me to appreciate life’s precious moments. To document not only all the stages in their life, but the important moments in our own life. This is a huge priority to me. 

Professional and formally trained photographer

My love for photography started many years ago, I have always had a camera at my side.

I finally took the plunge and enrolled in a diploma of photography and upon completing the course I went to work for two photographers.One a wedding photographer and one a photojournalist. Wedding photography and photojournalism go hand in hand, both types of photography are challenged with unpredictable conditions.

Since joining the Aipp (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) I ventured out on my own.I have been published in various magazines such as Shire Life, bmagazine, Brisbane Bride magazine,various catalogues and websites. 

My Passion

My passion for photography means that I can also be found teaching photography.By working for Blue Dog photography and teaching in their workshops, I have been  given a great opportunity to meet some really fabulous people who love photography as much as I do. 

Why do I love what I do?

To be able to look at an image and know that I captured a perfect moment that generations to follow will be able to enjoy, is why I love what I do so much.
