Tips for wedding photos
What time?
Photos are best taken in the late afternoon, this is when the light is just right.By checking sunrise and sunset times you are best able to find out the best time for your ceremony from here. If unsure please contact me.
How many locations?
As many as you want. As long as it all fits into the time you have available between the church and reception it's all fine by me. One thing to consider here, is finding a location that offers alot of variety, rather than having to travel to heaps of different location.
What type of locations?
Where you first meet, where you grew up, where he proposed, significant places to you and your partner. Also places that are just downight spectacular work well.
Please speak to me if you are having troubles finding locations or if you are not from that area. Together we can find something just right.
How much time...
I like to be where the groom is getting ready first and then off to the bride. These moments are important in retelling the story of your day.
An hour with the bride when her hair and make up is complete, is ideal.Capturing the moments as the bride is just getting dressed is best.I wait until the dress is on and ready for finishing touches before taking photos.
After the ceremony it is essential that there is enough light available for at least a good 2 hours or more...I then meet up with you at the reception for some table shots and mock cake cutting.
Make up
Whether applied by a professional or by yourself, as long as the foundation is not too light( always best to go for a darker shade) and you're wearing perhaps a little bit more makeup than normal; you'll look fantastic.
If any unforseen blemishes appear there is always Photoshop, a girls best friend.
Hair
I suggest lots of hairspray. Constantly pulling hair off your face when having your photos taken tends to get annoying for the bride and bridesmaids. Use a little bit more hair spray and viola problem solved.
